What do you think about the Munchkin and Sphynx Breeds?

Is it cruel or not? I agree-it is sick that they breed the Munchkin. The Sphynx doesn't bother me much. I just feel sorry for them, because I think fur is a part of a felines beauty.

  1. I don't think there is anything wrong with breeding Sphynx cats. The only thing you are altering is the hair. I do think breeding Munchkin cats is cruel, because the same genes that shorten the legs also weaken the heart muscle, and they usually die young. Besides, there are too many ordinary cats being killed every year for people to keep on breeding more.
  2. Sphynx are ok - I prefer fur on the cat, but they do have a Rex personality and I like them for that only. Munchkins???? I don't think they should be continued to be bred - its just wrong. Cats were made for running, leaping and jumping. Munchkins can run, but they really cannot jump and leap like a normal cat. Sometimes a mutation is not one you want to continue.
