Sphynx cat, a canadian cat with no hair?

Sphynx cats are also called Canadian hairless cats, there origin is canada. does anyone find it strange that the cat from Canada has no hair??? i mean Canada is cold!!!!!! why would you breed a cat in a cold climate to have no hair?? why does the cat who's origin is Canada have no hair?? or why a hairless cat in cold climate???

1. Because cats are best kept indoors, so it doesn't matter what the outside temperature is.

3. The country of origin isn't the cause, what happened was that it was a natural mutation that a breeder decided to continue a blood line with. There have been hairless cats before (and featherless chickens too), but nobody specifically continued to breed them for show.
