- Do you have a cat allergy? Like why pay several hundred dollars for a cat when you can save one from a shelter? Purebreds often have so many birth defects. Maybe Craiglist or your shelter may have a hairless kitty.
- even if you do have a cat allergy you will be allergic to the sphinx. I do not know any breeders, but I know they are very expensive, and alot of homeless kitties are in shelters wanting good homes.
- Sphynx are quite intriguing! Their skin is soft and warm, very comforting, and they are a very personable cat. A couple of places to look for breeders: the website of The Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc., the largest cat registry. http://secure.cfa.org/search.aspx , and the Fanciers' Breeder Referral List, http://www.breedlist.com/breeders/sph_ac.html Good luck in your search! Choosing a pedigreed cat means that you can more easily match the type of cat to your lifestyle and household.
