  1. No. I suggest you try to save money for the Sphynx. I saved up for a year to get the money to buy my show cat (price of cat and the shipping).
  2. Is anyone really this dumb?
  3. Just wine and dine her and buy her some jewelry and she might do it herself for your birthday or something
  4. you would look like your avatar before you finished. the cat would hurt you
  5. Ahh..that is a stunning piece of feline workmanship. I think waxing is indeed a viable option. Or perhaps laser hair removal? Are you trying for a TC badge in cats here? I'm trying for one in Tatas!
  6. Absoluetly not!!! They are not the same thing at all...not to mention the fact that waxing a furry cat could constitute animal abuse...please don't hurt a cat just because you want a certain breed. Just save your money and buy a sphynx, PLEASE!!!!
  7. No cats with hair need that hair. You should apply for a grant to start a small business ( Breeder) and get many expensive cats and choose the one you want and sell your business.
  8. Why the hell would you want to wax your cat.
  9. My in laws got a sphinx for free from someone who couldn't keep it. Anyway, a shaved cat isn't nearly as much fun in real life as you might think it has just having seen it on the internet....
  10. probably not, hair will more than likely grow back...
  11. I don't think a cat is a good pet for you, um...
  12. I get my cat waxed once a month.......oh you meant that kind of cat. Disregard my answer then.
  13. Absolutely Not! Doing so, in many countries, would be a criminal offense. It would be considered animal abuse. Have you ever used wax to remove hair from your body, other than perhaps your legs. If you want to know what it would feel like, was the hair on your head. Clip it to about 1/2" in length, apply wax to a large area, let it cool, and then yank it off. That will give you an idea of what the cat will feel. Are you for real or are you a troll just trying to stir things up?
  14. Um wax the cat?? That is really sad. TOO much hair. Your cat would be a bloody mess. Why not just shave the poor thing.
  15. NO start a savings account and get one later. or my old cat lost her hair natually (or unnaturally ) and I had one w/o wanting one... so find a cat that is loosing its hair and you will have a partial one. you can also go to the breeders and see if they have PET QUALITY ones for sale at a reduced cost.
  16. Hey Swampy, I don't think it is a really good idea to wax a cat, BUT... If you like the hairless look, you could shave your head, until you can afford the real "hairless" model. And speaking of the Sphynx .... Did you know that Sphynx cats actually require more care than any other breed as far as bathing is concerned? They need to be bathed at least once a week to prevent their pores from being gummed up by wax deposits on their skin, and cat get terrible sores all over their body if not cared for properly? While these cats are often suggested for people with allergies, but actually since they don't have hair, the dander on their body (little flakes of skin mixed with the fine down that covers their bodies ( they are not truely completely hairless) can cause allergic reactions in folks who have that problem. You might find a wax statue of a Spynx cat, or ask a sculptor to make one for you. It may be a lot less expensive than the real thing. Since I am assuming that your question was not in earnest, I tried to give you an answer that both is earnest and borders on the absurd to match the energy of your question.
