How can you tell if a cat appreciates you?

How can you tell if a cat really appreciates and loves you? Because it seems that some cats seem to look as if using us for their survival. If a cat were to escape of loneliness, would it come back home?

Theyll purr on you and cuddle with you, lick you on your nose, and theyll rub on you
usually when a cat apperciatesis that he usaully purrs when you get close to him or you pet him just the slightes..or when you get home he is usually there at the door and just meowing at you...my kitten does the same thing and they do rely on you and you should be appreciative of that and you should know
I can tell my cat appreciates me because he fallows me around 24/7 even if I walk 10 feet from him, he makes sure he gets up and fallows. I actually walk around the house to see how long he'll fallow me lol. than every night when I'm in bed he'll cuddle right next to my feet and sleep, even if I sleep in way late and hes not tired he'll still cuddle with me on the bed. when my husband comes home from work, he knows the sound of our car and he'll go running to the front door to greet him or us. than most of the time I have to let in the bathroom with me because he can't live a second without me lol. I love that he adores me and that I adore him in return.
If they are loyal and express their feelings to you like you do to them. My cat is always by my side. She is in the bathroom when I soak in the tub, she is on the highest kicthen counter when I cook, she is near me while on my laptop, she is aways at my feet in a elegant position, she goes outside ont he balcony with me. It is about loyalty
they will close their eye while you cuddling them.
If a cat sits still and lets you pet them, then they appreciate you. I've got super lovable cats and a very skittish cat. He jumps, runs and hides, but eventually he comes out and will just stand in front of me waiting until I reach down to pet him. He acts like he's afraid of the world, but all he really wants is some loving.
cats are like little balls of love if they love you they will cuddle with you, purr on you, rub up against you and one sure sign is they'll never disobey! hope that helps!
