Canadian Hairless

My cat has hairless spots on her paws?

My cat has hairless spots on her paws. She has had this for a quite a while but its not getting better. What should I do? What is this? My mom says its hot spots. I dont think we can afford to take her to a vet right now.

  1. It's possible your cat was biting those spots because they were itchy. Does he/she have fleas? You might want to spray your cat with some flea-killing spray.
  2. She could have allergies. If that be the case, you will need to go see a vet, since that won't go away on it's own. In any event, the cat needs a vet, not guesswork, and as you can see, this can't be comfortable for the cat at all, and is not getting better. Call around to see about low-cost vets. If you cannot afford one do th right thing for the cat and re-home it, since not providing vat care as needed is actually a felony.
