Roughly around when was the sphynx built?

I have an assignment for school that's due tommorow, on 8-10 major ancient egyptian events. I'vel eft everything to the last minute so yah. luckily I only have about 5 more paragraphs to write since I've finished the illustrations. my wuestion is though, when was the sphynx built?
