I want a Sphynx, what kinds of questions should I ask the breeder to make certain I get a really good cat?

- Do a google.com search on Sphynx health problems to get some idea of what you're geting in for. These are indoor only cats, they have very thin skin and can be hurt outside very easily, as well as are very vulnerable to things they'd be exposed to there. There's also the issue of them being pretty cold in winter if there isn't a good indoor temperature. Ask if you're getting a show cat or a pet quality cat. The show cat would cost way more than one that's not going to be used for breeding or isn't up to the standard for the breed.
- The more you learn about the breed the more knowledgeable customer you are. There are boatloads of sites out there both from the cat organizations and Sphynx breeders. http://www.cfa.org/breeds/profiles/sphynx.html http://www.cfa.org/breeds/standards/sphynx.html The pet quality are sometimes not entirely hairless they can have *peach fuzz* on the extremities
