My Five week pregnant sphynx is acting like she is in heat???

When my other female cat was playing with her she started to get in position with hind end up presenting herself and treading. My male doesn't act the least bit interested in her. Is this normal during pregnancy?? Anyone else experience this?

  1. Female cats can get pregnant while already pregnant. Although it's unusual for them to be interested this late in the pregnancy, it's possible. They're induced ovulators - they will get pregnant whenever mated, so if your male cat isn't already castrated get him done pronto just in case he suddenly decides he is interested. They can come into heat again almost as soon as they've given birth, so your male has all the time in the world to decide he does want it. You don't want your sphynx turning into a baby machine! Same goes for other female, spay if not already done so. Chalice
